Tommy Bailess

Father of two and fierce critic of the status quo. Tommy has provoked some of the world’s largest brands to think away from an existing condition to find new ways to save and solve perennial Operations, Supply Chain, and Marketing challenges.

For the past 15 years, Tommy has integrated himself into other companies to become not a partner or consultant, but “the company” itself. After graduating from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a BS in Economics, he found a pragmatic approach to business relationships. He recognized that economics wasn’t about counting numbers on an Excel spreadsheet (thankfully), but quite literally about the production, distribution, and consumption of goods and services. The son of a 30-year packaging consultant, he never lost an egg drop contest and had to hear about packaging at the dinner table growing up. It was only natural for him to join Morrisette Packaging in Greensboro as Director of Marketing and lead a team of 60 individuals to three-fold growth and strategic transformation.

Tommy has shared his Packaging and Supply Chain creativity with the youngest of professionals speaking in front of the Wake Forest University School of Business. He has also shared his collaborative supply chain approach with tenured Operations and Supply Chain Directors at leading brands like Ralph Lauren, Amazon, and Peter Millar to name a few. Focusing on complex problem solving and strategic long-term savings projects, he has paid for many company’s annual packaging budgets with an innovative and original thought to bring change and next-level savings and improvements.
