CL6 Healthcare and Manufacturing case studies

John Hudson will present two recent case studies on healthcare and manufacturing. The success of these cases is based on the positive effects of Lean and Six Sigma, reinforced by principles from Constraints Management (aka Theory of Constraints).  He refers to the blend of this trio of methodologies as CL6.

TOCICO is the acronym for the Theory of Constraints International Certification Organization.  John and a colleague shared a CL6 Healthcare case study at the 2014 TOCICO International Conference.  In 2016 heand the CEO of one of his client organizations, presented a CL6 Manufacturing case study at the 14th annual TOCICO International Conference in Leesburg, VA. 

This APICS presentation will focus on proven ways to achieve sustainability in both case studies.  It will also discuss:

  • The roles of leadership support and robust guiding principles in the implementation of change
  • Appreciation for the key role of data in ensuring that the changes are impactful
  • Understanding the importance of employee ownership and empowerment for achieving sustainability of improvements

Stuffed breast of Chicken, filled with fresh spinach, sundried tomatoes and mushrooms topped with a light white wine herb sauce; fresh sauteed green beans and roasted garlic redskin potatoes; folllowed by apple and dried cranberry cobbler.  Water and Unsweetened Ice Tea.
